DeWitt defense: It's difficult to single out a person from this one so we'll go with the collective effort of the DeWitt defense, which kept Haslett and its star running back Kory Amachree (Kansas commit) out the end zone. The defensive effort included strong play in the red zone, with Haslett coming away with just a field goal on its three deepest drives. Lucas Brandell ended one of those drives with an interception in the end zone and then combined with Jadon Bender to break-up a pass in the end zone to end Haslett's final drive late in the fourth quarter.
