AUSTIN (KXAN) — It was the Taco Shack Bowl, and now it's the Shoal Creek Showdown, but like the past three Anderson-McCallum rivalry matchups, it ended the same.
The Trojans jumped out to a 37-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 37-2 win over the Knights at House Park on the opening night of high school football in Central Texas. It's Anderson's fourth consecutive win in the series.
Running back Caleb Crenshaw scored three on the ground for the Trojans, including an incredible 80-yard run in the second quarter. It looked like he was going to be stopped near the line of scrimmage, but he slipped a pair of tackles and then outran everyone else.
