NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — It wasn't the debut Michael Vick or Norfolk State fans had hoped for, as the Spartans fell 27-7 to Towson Thursday before a packed Dick Price Stadium in a nationally-televised game Thursday night.
The game certainly had the hype in the buildup to Vick's first game as NSU coach, with ESPN's First Take filming live from campus and the game being played on ESPNU.
The Spartans hung with Towson for most of the game and they made it a one-score game when Jaylen Laudermilk ran 8 yards for the first touchdown of the Vick era to cut the Tigers' lead to 13-7 early in the fourth quarter.
Towson sealed the game on its next drive, however, going 67 yards in eight plays, capping it off with freshman quarterback Andrew Indorf's 36-yard touchdown pass on a 3rd-and-20 play to effec
