SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The No. 3-ranked Wall Hawks will tangle with the No. 12 Mason Punchers in the 2025 season opener at 7 p.m. Friday at Clayton Weishuhn Field.
In Craig Slaughter's first season as head coach in 2024, Wall enjoyed one of the best seasons in program history, going 13-2 overall and reaching the Class 3A Division II state semifinals.
Mason went 11-2 and the Punchers advanced to the Class 2A Division I regional semifinals.
The Punchers are beginning a new chapter with first-year head coach Wade Griffin, who previously was the head coach at Weimar.
Mason leads the all-time series with Wall 14-11, but the Hawks have won five of the last six matchups, including a 28-6 victory last year.
