The Badgers did what needed to be done after Edwards' exit Thursday night, beating Miami (Ohio) 17-0.
Nearly 66,000 were on hand at Camp Randall Stadium for the opening game of Wisconsin's season. Edwards exited in the second quarter with what appeared to be a non-contact leg injury and did not return, though he was seen walking on the sideline.
Edwards completed 6 of his 13 passes on the night for 68 yards. His backup, San Diego State transfer Danny O'Neil, completed 12 of his 19 attempts for 120 yards and a touchdown.
For Miami, Dequan Finn finished his night with 9 completions o
