MASON – There were going to be question marks about how Mason football's offense would look following the graduation of star quarterback Cason Carswell, who enrolled at Western Illinois to begin his collegiate career.

Junior quarterback Gerrit Koot and the Bulldogs marched down the field on the first drive of the 2025 season against Holt, ending with Koot connecting on a 14-yard touchdown with receiver Luke Goss.
