An East Renfrewshire man has told of how cancer tore through his family, taking the lives of four immediate family members before his own shock diagnosis.
Les Jones, 69, who lives in Neilston, was hit with a cancer diagnosis in April of this year, just two months after losing his brother Stephen to the disease.
The dad-of-four said that despite having no symptoms, he 'pushed' for further testing due to his tragic family history - with his mum, dad and two brothers losing their lives to cancer. He then shared that out of his three living siblings, two are also currently battling cancer. He has also tragically lost a third brother to diabetes.
