ANDERSON, Calif. - CAL FIRE reports that the Parkview Fire, which started southeast of Anderson in Shasta County, has burned 24.3 acres of vegetation as of Wednesday night.

The fire, which started in the 4000 block of Parkville Road northeast of Cottonwood, was first reported to CAL FIRE at around 2:12 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

According to the CAL FIRE Incidents page, the Parkville Fire is zero percent contained.

The unofficial non-profit reporting site Watch Duty reported that the forward progress of the fire was stopped around 2:41 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
