MANCHESTER, N.H. —

The Claremont City Council will hold a special meeting next week to consider sending monthly tax payments to the schools early to help with the budget crisis .

The city and school budgets are separate, but officials said this could be one way for the city to provide financial support.

Mayor Dale Girard said the option could cost the city interest earned on that money, and there are concerns about the timing of the payments.
