MEMPHIS, Tenn. - An officer was involved in a crash late Tuesday night near a police station, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

Police said it happened around 10:30 p.m. at Ridgeway Road and Ridgeway Boulevard, which is located near the Ridgeway police station. Police said no one was injured.

Police said the officer was headed to a wounding call when it crashed into another car that had pulled out from a stop sign and crashed into his patrol car. The driver of the first car told investigators that she did not see the MPD vehicle.

That driver was cited for several traffic violations, including failure to yield — pulling from a stop sign, police said. MPD noted that both drivers complained of soreness.
