MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Republic of Ghana paid another $1 million on their debt to the University of Memphis, the U of M told FOX13.
It's the second $1 million payment the Republic of Ghana has made to the U of M in two weeks. That money goes toward the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat program.

In July, 185 students at the U of M faced dismissal due to Ghana's outstanding debt. The money provided by the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat program covers those students' tuition and other expenses while they study abroad at the university.
