Inspectors have demanded staff at DGRI are provided with kids’ life support training. ‌

They have also raised concerns that medicine trolleys weren’t being secured and sharps storage containers were full. ‌

They were among 10 areas highlighted for improvement following an unannounced visit by Healthcare Improvement Scotland officials in June. ‌

But they also recognised 13 areas of good practice – including teams working proactively to safely discharge patients, with patients and relatives speaking highly of the care they received.

Officials inspected the delivery of care during the two day visit and their report contains two recommendations and 10 requirements.
