A Saturday powwow demonstration organized by members of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes as part of a Wagon Days cultural exchange has been canceled because its organizers were unable to find a drummer group for the event.

Northern Shoshoni tribal judge and tribal oral historian Leo Arriwite, a powwow organizer, told the Express on Thursday that he will be planning a larger demonstration for roughly the same time next year. He said it will span at least a full day, which is a more typical length of time for powwows. He said anyone who is interested in helping him plan for the event should email him at icc_lta@msn.com .
