WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- A man was taken to the hospital after he was found stabbed in Northwest on Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 12:20 a.m. on Aug. 28, in the 1400 block of Irving Street.

When officers arrived in the area, they found the man suffering from stab wounds, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Medics took him to the hospital for treatment.

D.C. police noted that a suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
