FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Franklin County’s Career and Technical Education center has served thousands of students for the past 30 years.
Superintendent Kevin Siers said those years add up and lead to some major issues.
“We’ve got a lot of security concerns with our current setup. We can’t maximize enrollment in our current facilities and there’s no room to expand for new programs,” Siers said “We have a vastly different job market today than we had 25 or 30 years ago, but we have not had the flexible space to really adapt to that.”
During Thursday’s town hall meeting , people had the chance to ask questions.
One person pointed out the school district had tried this before and wants to know what’s different this time.
