A Solihull pub is in the process of a transformation and will leave its 'old tatty' past behind.

The name has been removed outside with new decoration and furniture 'to be proud of' part of the change.

Located on the Stratford Road in Shirley, the Plume of Feathers is a Stonehouse pub which prides itself on pizza and carveries.

The Plume of Feathers is currently closed for a full refurbishment and management updated customers on social media.

On Facebook, The Plume of Feathers posted: "Well what can I say. The builders arrived at 9am, and by 4pm, they have stripped us bare.

"The old tatty Plume has gone. Hopefully I will have an update in the next few days."
