The rain this week added a nice influx of cool water and bumped up flows on the local freestones. The water will drop and clear this week, and fishing should be good as we head into fall. Late-summer, early-fall fishing can be technically demanding, but the fish should be invigorated by the cooler temperatures.

Silver Creek —The cooler weather this week should help snap the Creek out of its summer funk. You may see a few tricos, but the early morning hatch activity has shifted to late morning and consists mostly of baetis. Callibaetis duns and spinners are bouncing around in the afternoon, especially in the pond, and some fish are focused on them.
