DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Scattered-to-widespread showers and downpours will continue for your Friday, marking a wet start to the Labor Day Weekend.

After starting off about ten degrees warmer areawide this morning (around 70 degrees), increased cloud cover and rain will hold our temperatures down to about 80 degrees this afternoon.

A lull in rain chances is forecast through mid-morning, followed by more widespread activity during the midday hours. Scattered activity is possible after 2 p.m.

If you are outside with your dog(s) today, be careful of slick walkways. If you hear thunder or see lightning, head indoors immediately.
