WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) - Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested a second teacher Thursday, who is also accused of pursuing a sexual relationship with one of his students during his time of employment as a teacher.

On Thursday, Washington County Sheriff's deputies arrested former Vernon Middle School teacher 31-year-old George Michael Fisher for lewd and lascivious battery and offenses against his students.

Fisher’s last day of employment with the Washington County School District was June 2023.

Washington County Sheriff’s officials say they were first notified of the alleged incident on Wednesday evening, Wednesday, August 27, and immediately began investigating the incident.
