The opening of a new bakery inside the Nevada Museum of Art might be enough for some restaurateurs, but for serial entrepreneurs Aubrey and Tyler O’Laskey, it was just another day at the office.
Perenn at the Museum opened Aug. 15. The museum is in the midst of putting the finishing touches on the Charles and Stacie Mathewson Education + Research Center expansion project, and museum executives were seeking a new operator for the cafe space, Aubrey O’Laskey said.
The timing was less than perfect. The O’Laskeys had already packed up after a decade of living in Northern Nevada and moved to the southern U.S. to open two Perenn locations in middle Tennessee. However, the O’Laskeys were big fans of the museum and its mission.
