The investigation began in December 2024 when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) flagged two video files uploaded to Kik Messenger under the username “kaptnoblivious.” The videos, reviewed by the Montgomery County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, depicted children as young as 8 years old engaged in sexual abuse with adults.

Detectives subpoenaed IP records from Verizon and AT&T, linking the uploads to Martin’s home in Lansdale. A search warrant executed on May 15, 2025, led to the seizure of his cellphone. A forensic examination uncovered numerous images of young girls being sexually abused by adults. The criminal complaint details graphic evidence, including children as young as 5 depicted in restrained positions and forced sexual acts.

Martin was taken into custody on Aug. 21, 2025, and a preliminary arraignment was held before Magisterial District Judge Todd N. Barnes, who set bail at $50,000 unsecured. He is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, at 1:15 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Andrea Duffy.

The Montgomery County Detective Bureau, alongside the ICAC Task Force, continues to aggressively investigate internet crimes that exploit children.
