A multistate salmonella outbreak connected to eggs has affected at least two people in New York, according to an ongoing investigation led by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
California-based Country Eggs, LLC has recalled its large brown cage free "sunshine yolks" or "omega-3 golden yolks" eggs distributed in California and Nevada and sold to grocery stores and food service distributors between June 16, 2025 and July 9, 2025.
Ninety-five total illnesses have been reported across 14 states as of Aug. 27, the CDC states, and 18 people have been hospitalized.
