Motorcycles roared in unison into Looby Lane in Amarillo on Wednesday evening, Aug. 27, rolling past a row of American flags as part of the 12th annual Ride for the Fallen, a cross-country journey organized by the Coast X Coast Foundation to honor fallen U.S. Special Operations Forces and support their families.

Hosted by Amarillo businessman Ricky Looby, owner of Rick Looby Homes, the stop featured live music, food, refreshments and an aerial flyover. The Amarillo Police Department Motorcycle Unit escorted the riders from Dalhart into town, where veterans’ groups, families and neighbors gathered to cheer them on.
