PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (ABC22/FOX44) - One bat in the City of Plattsburgh tested positive for rabies after a resident reported the animal "acting strangely in their front yard," says Clinton County Health Department officials.

After the local reported this bat's behavior to the City Police and Animal Control Officer, it was successfully removed and sent for testing. City officials and USDA personnel were contacted after the test came back positive August 27.

There were no human or pet exposures, health officials confirm.
