COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - For only the sixth time, the Powerball jackpot has hit $1 billion.
Lottery officials announced the jackpot for Saturday night’s drawing, which increased by $50 million after no ticket won the jackpot on Wednesday.

If won, it would be the largest Powerball prize since last April.
Players have until 9:59 p.m. Saturday to purchase a ticket before the drawing at 10:59 p.m.
Odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 293 million.
