SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Heavy rain chances increase this weekend.

Showers and storms containing heavy rain will begin to develop Friday night, mainly west of I-29. Becoming more widespread by Saturday. The Weather Prediction Center has parts northeast Nebraska in a Slight Risk (below in yellow) of excessive rain.

HEAVY RAIN THIS WEEKEND

Saturday will be overcast with scattered showers and periods of heavy rainfall throughout the daytime. This will keep temperatures a bit cooler, upper 60s to low 70s.

Excessive rainfall is possible, mainly west of I-29 on Saturday. The Weather Prediction Center has us in a Slight Risk (below in yellow) of excessive rain.
