BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The state has a new forensic examiner based in Bismarck who will fill a critical need when it comes to investigating suspicious deaths and determining other causes of death.
The former Forensic Examiner, Dr. Barrie Miller, resigned in April 2024.
Dr. Lauren Huddle will lead the forensic examiner’s office within the state’s Health and Human Services (HHS) department and assist county coroners. She began her work on July 8.
Huddle is a board-certified forensic pathologist with more than 10 years of experience. Before joining HHS, she served as a clinical assistant professor of pathology at the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
