FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Harwood City Council plans a final approval vote on the proposed $3B “A.I. factory” .

Charla Hansen, the Harwood City Auditor, confirms there will be a special session Wednesday evening. It’s scheduled to include the rezoning and other items specified on the agenda .

In August, dozens of residents gathered to express their concerns about the project including potential environmental impacts, the safety and future of Harwood elementary students, water quality and land usage.

A 280-megawatt facility that the company says “further advances Applied Digital’s rapid growth and reinforces North Dakota’s position as one of the most strategically important destinations for AI infrastructure in the United States.”
