A Kilmarnock road was partially closed to traffic after a car demolished a garden wall.

Officers were called to the corner of Dundonald Road and Aird Avenue shortly before 8.50am on Friday, August 29.

Aird Avenue was partially closed to traffic as a result of the collision. Extensive damaged was caused to the wall following the incident, reports Ayrshire Live.

A white Volkswagen has been left partially in the wall and a hedge following the collision. There are currently no details of any injuries as a result of the incident.

No information about the number of vehicles or the number of people involved has been made available.

Police Scotland were contacted for comment.
