Another animal waste spill has affected Sampson County’s roadways. On Friday morning at about 7:30 a.m., an animal waste spill was reported at the intersection of Kader Merritt Road and West Magnolia-Lisbon Road in the southern portion of the county near Union High School.

Taylors Bridge Volunteer Fire Department closed off the intersection, and the portion of Kader-Merritt Road from US 421 (Taylors Bridge Highway) to the intersection soon afterward. At the scene, Fire Chief Alan Williams said that it was unknown which company spilled the waste, nor was it immediately clear who would be cleaning up the mess.
