JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. —

Charges have been filed after a teenage girl was shot and killed when a bullet pierced the wall of her home earlier this month.

Bailey Lewis has been charged with second-degree felony murder, three counts of accessory armed criminal action and two counts of accessory unlawful use of a weapon, Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson announced Friday. Advertisement

This is in connection with the death of 16-year-old Traelynn Sibley, who was struck and killed after a bullet went into her home in the 3600 block of Norton Avenue on Aug. 9.
