KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman has been charged in connection with the deadly shooting that killed a teenage girl earlier this month.

Bailey Lewis, of Lenexa, Kansas, faces charges of second-degree felony murder, three counts of accessory armed criminal action and two counts of accessory unlawful use of a weapon.

According to court records, on Aug. 9, Kansas City police were dispatched to a shooting on Norton Avenue. They located a teen girl in the bathroom who had been shot in the throat. She was transported to a hospital where she died.

FOX4 previously reported that the girl, later identified as 16-year-old Traelynn Sibley, was inside the home when she was hit by gunfire from outside the home.
