Federal and local authorities are investigating the discovery of over 100 piles of cremated human remains found on federal land near Searchlight, Nevada, approximately 50 miles south of Las Vegas. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is working with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to understand the situation.

The remains were discovered on a dirt road in the desert, with evidence such as weathered ashes, pieces of zip ties, and a broken urn present at the site. This information was initially reported by KLAS .
