OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City is creating a pedestrian and cycling revolution through the MAPS 4 comprehensive infrastructure initiative, which allocates $96.5 million to create safer, more accessible streets across the metropolitan area.

The project began construction in 2024 and represents one of the most significant investments in pedestrian infrastructure in the city’s history. With $61 million dedicated to sidewalk construction and amenities, neighborhoods throughout Oklahoma City are gaining essential connections that have been missing for decades.
