ALBANY, N.Y. (WWTI) - A 28-year-old Colton man has been indicted Thursday for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

The United States Department of Justice said that Casey Kocher was indicted in federal court. Authorities said that New York State Police stopped Kocher in a rental vehicle in Colton and allegedly possessed 25 kilograms of cocaine in a black duffle bag that was intended for further distribution.

Kocher could face up to a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of life in prison if convicted of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

The DEA and the New York State Police are investigating the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Stitt is prosecuting the case.
