SCRANTON — A man from Pittston was sentenced in federal court this week to a decade in prison on drug trafficking and firearm offenses.

U.S. District Judge Robert D. Mariani sentenced Jon Robert Donohue, 32, formerly of Market Street, to 10 years in federal prison followed by four years probation on charges of drug trafficking and illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to a news release from acting U.S. Attorney John Gurganus, Donohue was serving a house arrest sentence in Luzerne County when probation officers received information that he was trafficking drugs and possessed firearms.
