KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — While the Tennessee Department of Transportation is pausing construction for the Labor Day weekend, drivers will still face several travel impacts. 6 News anchor Bo Williams is breaking down what to know in this week's upcoming road work stream.
TDOT will stop all lane closure activities on interstates and state routes at noon on Friday, August 29, until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2. The department adds that workers will still be on-site in many construction zones and encourages drivers to obey posted speed limits.
