GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A Grand Rapids board has approved a $3.8 million tax incentive to help finance the construction of a three-story, 26-unit apartment building on a vacant lot near Wealthy Street SE and Division Avenue in downtown Grand Rapids.

Bryce Hansen, of Stransen Development Group, hopes to start construction of the building on a 0.2-acre property at 443 Sheldon Ave. SE in March 2026. The estimated completion date is February 2027.
