PEMBROKE — A man with a history of grabbing women’s feet on college campus was arrested by UNC Pembroke campus police Monday.

Christopher J. Deas, 49, was arrested after a faculty member at UNCP reported him inside a classroom. He has been charged with trespassing and is being held on a secured bond, according to a message sent by campus police to the UNCP community. Deas remains under a criminal trespass notice that legally prohibits him from returning to UNCP property.

Deas reportedly has a history of appearing on college campuses across the Carolinas, including reports of grabbing women’s feet. He has also returned to campuses even after being banned.

The UNCP campus community is advised: if you see Deas on campus, do not approach him and call UNCP Police & Public Safety immediately
