MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A man was arrested after activating the emergency brakes on a Metro Transit bus, causing passengers to fall of their seats, the Madison Police Department said Friday.
Officers responded around 10:30 p.m. Thursday to the intersection of State Street and West Dayton Street for a report of a disturbance on a Metro bus.
MPD learned an unruly passenger brake the emergency brake box, activating the emergency brakes.
Police said passengers were abruptly sent out of their seats, but no one said they were hurt.
The 31-year-old suspect was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He was later arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
He also faces felony and misdemeanor bail jumping charges.
