EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A former employee of the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office has been sentenced by a federal judge.
As we told you, Regene Newman pleaded guilty to wire fraud.

Officials say she used a department credit card like it was her own, spending more than $90,000.
Newman’s attorney says she was sentenced Friday to 18 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
Records show Newman was released “pending designation.”
Her attorney says a surrender date is usually given within about four to six weeks.
