A top advisor to Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s office has resigned.

Marjorie Pomeroy-Wallace Shane Potter

Marjorie Pomeroy-Wallace — a former chief of staff who was appointed chief strategy officer and senior advisor in July — announced her resignation on Thursday.

Pomeroy-Wallace served as chief of staff to O’Connell for nearly two years and worked heavily with the Choose How You Move transit initiative. She also managed his mayoral campaign .

Masami Tyson, who previously worked with the Nashville office of global law firm Womble Bond Dickinson, has replaced Pomeroy-Wallace.

“After several years of invigorating but grueling work on behalf of candidates at both the state and local level, the time has come for me to take a break,” Pomeroy-Wallace said in a statement.
