WEST FARGO — West Fargo High School briefly went into lockdown Friday afternoon, Aug. 29, after an "unknown, non-student" was spotted in the building.
According to a release from a district spokesperson, at about 2:11 p.m., the school went into lockdown after the person was spotted.
The "unknown, non-student" was escorted to the main office then fled from the building, the release said.
"At no time were there threats made nor were there any students in danger," the release said.
The lockdown was lifted at 2:28 p.m., the release said, and operations returned to normal.
The West Fargo High School lockdown comes amid a slew of local and regional threats and tragedies.
On Wednesday, a shooter killed two students at a Minneapolis Catholic school and injured 18 others.
