NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - More than 800 cameras will soon be installed around the City of North Charleston in a project years in the making.
North Charleston City Council leaders approved a contract awarding up to $1.5 million to a North Charleston-based company, Robbins Construction Group, for the police department’s Joint Operations Center project .
The dollars will design the center at the new evidence building, which is under construction off of Casper Padgett Way. Plans detail that 4,242 square feet of the renovated interior space will be new offices for the project.
