ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - More than 90,000 fans are expected to pack Sanford Stadium on Saturday for the University of Georgia football team’s home opener, which means the roads will be packed too.
But local law enforcement is staffing up to keep things running smoothly.
“We’re starting at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning, we’ll be working until after the game is complete,” Athens-Clarke County Police Captain John Radford said.
ACCP police officers and state troopers will be stationed throughout campus and downtown to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
