The chamber ensemble Mistral will perform its inaugural Cape concert on Sunday, September 7, at Falmouth Academy’s Hermann Theater. Start time is 4 PM. Proceeds from the event will benefit Belonging To Each Other, a local organization working together with other Falmouth groups and churches to end homelessness in Falmouth.

Led by Julie Scolnik, founder and artistic director, the concert will include music composed by Piazzolla, Copland, Bernstein, Milhaud and Fauré, and will highlight music by Lili Boulanger. Boulanger was a transformative force in 20th-century music, shaping generations of composers, and was the first female winner of the Grand Prix de Rome composition prize.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at the door.
