GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A popular neighborhood pub in northeast Grand Rapids has reopened after a short closure for renovations.

Logan's Alley was packed Friday afternoon, its first day open since it closed on Aug. 18 for a "face lift." While customers won't notice any major changes, they will see updates like refinished tables, a new floor behind the bar and a new service station for staff.

"We decided this summer that it was time to reinvest, it just needed some upgrades," owner Larry Zeiser told News 8 in a phone interview Friday. "We value service ... (more than) anything else and we felt that the bar needed some upgrades to continue giving great service." • Logan's Alley at 916 Michigan St. near Diamond Avenue.
