I'd like to see someone plant some water lilies and cattail plants in the shallow end of Hoyt Lake. They would do three beneficial things:
1. Provide cover for the fish (yes, there are fish in the lake) to hide in;
2. They would soak up a lot of the fertilizer on the bottom of the lake;
3. They would help lower the temperature of the water; and
Finally they, especially the water lilies, would look nice.
