The Aliquippa Quips and two-way standout Qalil Goode tangle with senior quarterback Curtis Wade and the Belle Vernon Leopards in a season-opening nonleague matchup in Belle Vernon. Aliquippa, which finished 8-3 in 2024, blanked the visiting Leopards 12-0 in Week 1 last season. Belle Vernon went 4-6 last year and will be looking to get off to a good start at home under first-year head coach Scott Bryer. Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on Friday, August 29 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network .
