AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Augusta Junior Players are preparing for the showing of their version of “Beetlejuice Junior.”

For those who have seen the movie, you know what happens if you say his name three times.

The group of young actors is putting together their own unique version of the story that has hit Broadway and movie theaters.

The assistant director explained why the show will be truly different from the other versions.

Black Farm Street, located just down the road from Josey High School, has been experiencing issues ranging from clogged storm drains to damaging overgrowth for over a year.

“Our director, Roy Lewis, has never seen the Broadway performance or even the movie. So, we’re taking all this on his own direction.
